Lucky Thompson - I Offer You 1973
After he stopped teaching in 1974, Lucky Thompson permanently dropped out of music. On what would be his final album, Thompson (along with keyboardist Cedar Walton, bassist Sam Jones, and drummer Louis Hayes) performs five mostly straight-ahead originals, "The Moment of Truth," and the standard "Cherokee." Thompson, switching between tenor and soprano, was still very much in his musical prime at the time of this LP but apparently soon became sick of the whole music business, a major loss to jazz. He plays quite well throughout the set. AMG.

Hi Carlos
All these links seem to be dead.
@roldo, try again, I just tried five of them and they are all downloading as I write.
You are welcome rev.b! Thanks for the comments, enjoy it!
Hey Roldo glad to see you around, as rev.b wrote links are ok on my side too. Try again if it persists say something I'll do another link. Enjoy it.
While he was a remarkable, albeit underappreciated be-bop player, this recording ranks among my favorite dates by Thompson. It's has a great band and it's a graceful adaptation to the 1970s without compromising his integrity. Your posting it here highlights your good taste, Carlos! Thanks.
