Live Wire was a London pub rock band led by guitarist/vocalist Mike Edwards and featuring bassist Jeremy Meek, drummer German Gonzales, and guitarist Chris Cutler. Following the group's 1979 AM debut, Pick It Up (which resembles Kilburn and the High Roads, or early Dire Straits without the flashy guitar work), Cutler was replaced by ex-Advertising guitarist/producer Simon Boswell, whose production skills lent the group a more polished, commercial sound. This lineup recorded 1980's No Fright and 1981's Changes Made before disbanding.
