Brothers Unlimited - Who's For The Young 1970
Active in the late 1960s and early ‘70s, this dozen-or-so member Memphis band blended rock and soul with a hint of psychedelia in a similar manner to the Electric Flag. Their Stax-on-acid brew is much in evidence in this reissue of their sole full-length release, which includes a Hendrix-like reinterpretation of the Willie Dixon standard “Spoonful.” Members of the outfit later went on to join the reconstituted post-Otis Redding Bar-Kays.
