Kubero Diaz is a legend of the Argentine rock viola. He was born in Entre Rios and at the end of the 60s, he settled in La Plata. There he participated in the community from which La Cofradia de la Flor Solar emerged. With this band, he recorded a single album in 1971 (posted on the blog). Once separated, La Cofradia joined La Pesada del Rock and Roll, participating in many important recordings. He also participated in the album "Conesa" by Pedro y Pablo and in "Sur" by Miguel Cantilo.
In 1973 he released his own solo album, which we present here today at La Nave del Rock Argento, accompanied by his companions from La Pesada del Rock. Among the invited musicians were: Alejandro Medina on bass and voice on the song "Todo es rock", Claudio Gabis on Guitar, Jorge Pinchevsky on violin, Miguel Cantilo on singing ("Something is about to happen" and "A way to get there") and Billy Bond in backing vocals. The songs were composed by Kubero and the album produced by Billy Bond.
Sometime later he traveled to Europe, settling in Ibiza where he joined various groups. Ten years later he returned to Argentina and joined his old friend Miguel Abuelo in what was the last formation of Los Abuelos de La Nada.
After the death of Miguel Abuelo, at the end of the eighties, which automatically ended the group, Kubero settled in Buzios (Brazil), where he lived for 15 years, although he would return to Argentina on several occasions, even to resurface. to La Cofradía de la Flor Solar, together with Skay Beilinson. After his Brazilian experience, he returned to Argentina again, and joined Leon Gieco's group while forming his own band: KubeDíaz Trío.
