T.P. Smoke - T.P. Smoke 1971

Rare 8-track 1971 album with organ-driven progressive rock with some blues leaning LP from Tommy "P" Petersen of Rocking Ghost, Scarlets & Matadorerne. Their album was manufactured in Germany (and distributed there in addition to Denmark). Tommy Petersen was the leader of the group - he wrote the songs, provided the soul and blues flavored vocals and played the lead instrument. T. P. Smoke was a little known Danish progressive rock trio which mixed many different influences like psychedelic rock, early 70' heavy organ-driven prog-rock (like Atomic Rooster or Hansson & Karlsson), symphonic rock ala Nice and with Arthur Brown-like bluesy vocals. Tommy Petersen was the leader of the group; he wrote the songs, provided the soul and blues flavored vocals and also played the lead instrument. A Scandinavian precursor of the progressive rock music, they do not have had the recognition which they deserved.
